Reviews for "Castle Quest"

Rather repetative

But it looked nice. Random enemy spawns and a few bosses at the end of some levels makes a really boring game. But I admit it's graphics are decent. It wasn't challenging at all, just spam a few skills and you beat anything.

To improve, you could add a stat system every level up. For example you have strength for more damage, intellegence for more energy etc. Plus, the skill system was rather unbalanced where you had to put 5 points in the health regeneration to get to the next tier.

I also unlocked the secret character with the code axis. But I'm not sure if you have to beat the game to unlock him.

Overall a decent game. 7/10

good and bad

good graphics and tech tree other than that its just ok its way too easy all the attacks suck so all i used was the first 2 i got

Decent Enough.

I liked it, not a bad way to waste some time.

never challenging

either a level is way too easy or just annoying, I never felt like skill was necessary. the 4th boss , i don't know how to dodge his falling rock attack it just spawns over me and instantly hits me wherever i stand. I hate how i have to get all the upgrades to unlock the one below it, i really have no choice on what to get at this point.
the game is super repetitive and never interesting. and I don;t want to finish it.

good graphics and programming are why you didn't get a 0. but that means nothing if the game is just designed horribly

do make a next game but fix this stuff because it sucks
1. put stats so i can choose how i improve, the way i played i needed more energy regen and not any health upgrades, because i would never get hit until i ran out of energy than i had no chance.
2. i should only have to buy 1 upgrade to unlock the skill below it. and not all skills should be linked to a lower level skill.
3. actually design a level, put platforms and actually plan out where enemies will be, put sub-bosses. locked doors, keys, puzzles, anything! level design is arguably the most important aspect of any game and flat ground and random enemy spawns is the least effort you can do.
4. all the enemies do the same thing, there should at least be different strategies for different enemies. try putting an elemental system into it, where enemies have weaknesses and strengths, or give them different attacks where you have to duck or jump depending on what attack it is. 1 attack per enemy is lame

ok.

play better but i love the concept
