three super-annoying things
1) inability to switch between weapons when I want to + difficulty in selecting exactly the power-up I want when running away from f*kers
2) f*kers spawning on top of you all the time
3) extremely annoying auto-pause
otherwise, a-ok
Quick question about Pulse
Great response to VanquisH's comment down there, way to be an involved author =)
I was just wondering about the Pulse power-up. I greatly enjoyed it, and leveled it all the way up first. The first upgrade was cool with the forward-backward shot, and then it turned into the surround-burst, which was especially helpful against swarmers. But then I leveled it up again and it got... completely nerfed? The final upgrage was just a single slow shot that didn't do any great amount of damage. Am I missing something?

Quite a few people have flagged up the Pulse power-up bug, and it is fixed now ( This is after weeks of it being on Candystand and then in public beta on our site. No matter what you do some bugs always slip through ).
It is fixed in the new version, but I'm using mochi version control, and I'm not sure if that's instant or not. Anyway the latest fixed version has a tiny v1.1 down by the left leg of the X on the title screen.
If you see that, then it's all good, and no broken Pulse power-up.

That was a very fun game. But I lost interrest after a few levels. The gameplay was too slow in my opinion... Other than that, if it would be faster, It would have gotten a nine or maybe even a ten.
And CHRIST, what is that song's name?! I can't seem to remember. Please answer to this =/

Cheers for the 8. Balancing a game so everyone feels it runs at just the right pace is impossible, so you have to aim for a happy medium. Some will find it too slow like you did, others too fast.

Great visuals, fast, smooth, and fun gameplay, overall very nice.
Good work! Sometimes simple but polished is the best way to go. I certainly don't miss the shops and such.

Right up my alley with this one. I love how easy it is to play. Ran great on my shitty box. Graphics are some of the best I've seen. Great job. ;)
