Reviews for "Wizard Defense"

Hard...

I like this type of unique style tower defense game. There are a few grammar mistakes. After levels and levels it gets more confusing to me, because all the monsters spawning all at once and only certain type of spells can hit them. A bit hard, could add in a difficulty setting. Nice job overall.

....

I don't know about the other enemies... but that golem at the beginning picture looked eerily similar to the golems in Dragon Quest VIII....

Other than that, it just seemed like way too early in the game, at least for the amount of money you were given, that the enemies swarmed way too much.

Nice concept though, although I wish there had been somethings you could have placed on the map that would fire at enemies and damage them, like a turret, that stayed the whole game.

Either too hard or too easy

Alright, here's the trick to getting far in this game...(I quit around level 17 cause it's just too easy):

-Get lightning and use it as your main attack spell. Use all your money on upgrades for it until around level 13 or 14.
-Get the second level Earth magic and upgrade it a bit to ward off those lightning immune monsters.

From here on, you're pretty much good as gold, since lightning is severely overpowered in this game, while every other spell seems to be absolute crap.

nice nice

An innovative kind of defense :) Somehow addicting ...

It was ok

I had fun with this game. I didn't find it too hard and I actually used the same strategy another poster used: max upgrading the level 1 fire and ice spells and then going for the level 3. Beat it my first try.

PROS: Fun defense game. I liked the variety of spells and how some monsters had immunities and weaknesses, preventing you from spamming a single spell. You had to use SOME strategy.

CONS: Something about it didn't really pull me in like some other defense games. I think the monster designs lacked a bit of imagination. A gorilla and a fox? Really? Some better art on the spells cast would've been fun. It was also pretty easy. As long as you aren't too scattered brained with how you spend your gems you should do ok. Honestly though, I didn't try out the other spells. Not really interested in a second run through.

Not bad though... look forward to the next one.
