Reviews for "Megaman X RPG: Chapter 1"

Sdrawkcab Glitch (Backword)

I was also one to encounter the player doing the moonwalk when the screen scrolled. Where he was radio'd about the instructions. I can't seem to fix it. When you fix it, I'll come back and give this game a full review and a better score. Sorry.

Ok i guess

First off, Guardian-Dragoon, u cant bash on FF text because u can alter the speed, second, he does move slowly, thirdly, dont bash on the graphics because megaman and shnit has always looked pixlated

Whoa

one of the best RPGs ive played keep up the work

Quite enjoyable!

This was much better than the first one due to the fact that I could actually get through some things! I'm not a fan of RPGs but this was done quite well especially when we consider all the fine graphics you used not to mention how the character and background designs were so faithful to that of the original Megaman games. I also like the speech boxes and the fast way of passing them. The added things that went on make the game more fun too.

It's...meh...

Okay, this is going to be harsh, and I am SURE you are probably going to try to say whatever to validate what I'm going to say, but here I go anyway.

This game is kinda bad. Not terrible, but not excellent. X still moves slow when he's moving. His sprite is very badly editted, and the bold black outline he and other sprites seem to have are very pixelated and very unnecessary. I honestly stopped playing after the first game because I hated how slow the text boxes appeared and went away. I'm an avid RPG player, and when someone thinks this stuff is slower than Final Fantasy text, that's pretty bad.

The one battle I played went by very fast, and that's good, because this game felt like it wasn't really polished. It seems like there's something missing to give it that shine that it needs. It also seemed kinda weird for the X sprite in battle to have a different appearance than the one on his health gauge.

That's as much as I can say, but these things are what made the game unbearable for me to play. I'm sorry, but this doesn't belong in the top 50 games in my opinion. And I know people are going to say don't listen to me, but if you're going to not listen to people who give you negative critique, then you'd best stay out of the professional game design world.

ChamberACR responds:

Alright Dragoon, I understand the internet gives you complete reign to be a dick if you want without any sort of ramifications, but I don't stand for that shit. So here's my response.

1.) If you don't like the sprites, then that's not anything I can control. Secondly, I'm not a artist or spriter. And thirdly, and this is what completely invalidates your entire argument - YOU CAN TURN THAT BLACK OUTLINE off. It's in the options.

So just to recap, let me get the two things you didn't like about the game clear so I can understand: you don't like the text speed and you don't like the sprites. Seriously?! If these two qualities make the game "unbearable", hell - how do actually enjoy video games? These are minor infractions, and quite honestly, there are probably a thousand other reasons to not like my game. You just happened to pick the two stupidest ones.
