Reviews for "Ultra Sheriff - Nemesis"

The marks of a true animator

This cartoon was really well done,
you seem to have the traits of a profesional animator.

You know how to play with timing, and you can fuse different mediums well (I think portions of this cartoon used some 3D program for the ships). You also know when to cheat (tweening instead of FBF animation).

I can't say anything too bad, except a menu with different options would have been nice, and extras would have been nicer...

Anyway keep up the good work, I'm sure you'll get an award for this.

Sincerely,
- Celx

UltraSheriff responds:

hey, and thanks for a very insightful review!
I was aiming to fuse different mediums, to boost my skills in afterfx and maya, wanted to push myself to make something in 3d, which i think is a powerful tool to know.
i have always felt that animation is to some extent about "cheating", saving time for those shots u really want to go to town with, and doing tweens and limited animation where you can.
as fo a menu, i quite agree, although im not sure what to put on it. i would say i like minimalism, but maybe im just lazy:)

Wow! Surprisingly great.

You really did a great job with this! Deserves a much higher score in my opinion. Fantastic 2D special effects and character animation. Keep it up!

Awesome fluid animation ^^

Just as the title reads! Plus, I'm impressed with the music! :3 Great work! :3

Not really sure what's going on...

but the animation was silky smooth and in perfect synch with the music, which was also a perfect choice. Good work.

UltraSheriff responds:

heh, no it is a bit of a mess i admit:)
this is really made to be a part of our live show (with my band ultra sheriff, which is also the character flying the ship..), and it kinda works better in that setting i feel. rather than just being a standalone video, it serves as a variation, climax and sensory overload in our live set, where its even harder to get the narrative, but people do remember robots and explosions - which is the imporant thing:)

that was pretty good

i like the graphics and sound dude.
good job
