Reviews for "Paper Asteroids -Homework"

LOL plagerism

my mate just linked me to this, I made almost exactly the same game in 2006
see here: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /306908

I like yours though and you obviously did make it yourself, regardless of were you got the idea from.

hope you keep at it

Very good, but....

also very generic. Try adding upgrades, maybe stuff to collect from dying homework, a boss, or anything to spice it up. I don't know. You did an excellent job with the music selection and sprite design, but the game lacks variety, and gets old after more than 4 seconds. Give the player something to work towards, some incentive to keep playing.

Basic, nice,

But the design scheme has some issues. Milky white paper didn't fit with the other graphics. A small change with that couldn't hurt.

GO FOR IT

with some work put into it, this could be an amazing game, but you need to make alot more challenging, i could have gone on forever without losing any lives or health.

well..

for an unfinished game this is pretty polished. the visuals were very well made and the basic game mechanics worked smoothly.

things that should be improved :
background loop - far too short, kept seeing the same 2+2=4 thing every 2 seconds.. irritated my eyes. needs to be longer and/or better randomized.
music loop as was stated before me was a bit on the short side as well.
power ups, raising difficulty level, boss fights etc.. the basic mechanic is fine but will not keep me entertained for very long..
maybe this was intentional but it seems that when an asteroid hit my ship if I moved swiftly away I received almost no damage and if I stayed with the asteroid for the duration of the explosion animation I received a lot of damage. the way I see it it should be standard damage per hitting an asteroid. but that one may be just my point of view.
scoring system - obviously.
that about it. :) loved the visual premise and the feel of the game. definitely worth additional work.
