Even though it isn't finished yet there is a lot of potential to it as you said in the description. I think it would be a good idea if you carried on with this because I could see this game turning out to be pretty humourous. Like add the usual power ups into the game, but besides that you could have one of the bosses be like an ugly drawing of a school teacher or a bully then once the game is done you could have an ending where a kid turns in his homework and when he got there his teacher and the bully or whoever else was sick that day. Those are just some possible ideas that run through my mind when I played this.

Pretty good
The game was creative and a lot of fun
But it just kinda looped itself over and over again
Maybe add some levels and boss fights?
Possibly a story?
All in all, it was really fun game and the animation was really well done
I especially liked the doodles in the background.

Great game, just a little confusing.
The game plays well and looks good, but to me it looked like I was shooting popcorn. I know I don't need a reason to shoot it, it just seemed a little odd.
And the game started without telling me the controls, although it is the standard arrows and space bar you should tell the player before the game starts.
I say go for it!
You're right, this definitely has a lot of potential. Smooth framerate, good drawings, and appropriate background music. Only suggestions would be add a little more length to the looping background and maybe add something that scrolls across the top for bonus points like in the old asteroid games. Nice job! :D
