Where was the story?
When I was immediately thrown into a fight I wasn't particularly happy as I had no idea what the story to the flash was. When some more enemies dropped in I found myself beginning to like the game a little, as this is something I haven't encountered before (since usually one battle finishes, you walk about a bit and get into another). However, once the enemies just kept coming and coming I realised that the battle wasn't going to end and I was wondering if there was ever going to be any story. After beating the first couple of bosses I realised there wasn't and that there was nothing to this game except fighting. Despite being completely bored with the game for a long period of time I stuck with it hoping that it would soon pick up, which unfortunately it didn't. I just don't find doing the same thing over and over again interesting, especially if I'm not going to be rewarded with anything to make up for it (something within the flash as opposed to some medals). Once I reached the shop for the second time I gave up on it completely, not wishing to subject myself to performing the same repetitive task for any longer.
The positioning of the enemies' health bars could do with some adjusting. When the menu displaying the quality and such is open it creates the impression that they are almost defeated due to the fact that the bottom is hidden. Perhaps when this menu is open you could relocate the health bar? Also when attacking an enemy which is positioned behind another, the enemy in front blocks the health bar, making it impossible to see how much health they have left. To fix this you could make it so that the health bar will always be the frontmost thing.
My only other complaint with the gameplay itself is that when text appeared at the top of the screen for status changes, sword changes, etc. Given the fact that the battle didn't progress while this text was being displayed, it was there for far too long. Perhaps you could allow the battle to progress with it there to make for faster gameplay?
Now on to what I did like. I liked seeing the characters react to being hit. This is something which is often neglected within RPGs. I did feel that there could have been a little more variety though. I also enjoyed seeing the touches of humour with the summons and enemy attacks.
All in all it was a nicely put together game, but unfortunately you neglected to include any story, which is key to keeping the audience interested. Especially if repetitive actions are involved. Without any story, this flash became an RPG with no purpose. Something which I have no interest in whatsoever.
