Reviews for "Megaman X: RPG Chapter 0"

Bugged to hell...

If you're playing this game, NEVER press the "down" button. It'll screw you. You'll "beam out", and you have no way to return. Fix this, and make the game more exciting, and you've got something awesome on your hands.

And, in the event that you're wondering, I ran into this "Holy crap, I just went away" deal on the level just after I snagged Zero.

ChamberACR responds:

I didn't even map the "DOWN" key into the game. Can you be more specific as to where and when this happens?

Swing and a Miss?

It's MEGAMan ... not... game-freezeman right? I think when some of these glitches that maybe no one else seems to get are cleared up.. it'll be a damn fine game.

feels beta

well that 4 is in flux at the moment (depending if this is still in beta stage or not). so after every level it restarts at home page? and after you continue you just fight the same string of 7-8 bad guys again with no boss? whats the $$ for or is it just a waste? so you basically get 4 pieces of equipment and 3 chips and one partner? is it that my game is bugging and i'm missing content or is that all there is right now?

well enough with the questions. Mega man franchise owns. I hope this game gets the spit and polish it deserves. graphics are pretty slick and combat runs smooth. I hope there will be more content in future patches/updates.

ChamberACR responds:

It's not technically a "beta", because all the code for the entire game is contained in the file. Every piece of armor, tech, Battle Chip, and item data are already in the game, but what you're playing is a small portion of it. I choose to set it up this way because, A.) this is a very large, complex game that already pushes the 10 MB limit and B.) as you can tell from some comments left below, some people are kind of dumb. Mostly I'm doing it in Chapters because of size limitations.

To address your other concerns, you're absolutely right: you can't spend your money in this Chapter. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME. Everything you do, every choice you make, WILL TRANSFER OVER. In fact, there are some paths that are opened to you because you did complete the tutorial. People who start off from Chapter 1 will not have the same options of those who played through Chapter 0. Furthemore, there will be shops to buy stuff in Chapter 1. There will be more story, more Battle Chips, and more "stuff." I promise you that much.

Lastly, if you read the authors comments, I specifically mention that it's JUST a tutorial and a boss rush mode. Oye.

Menu system not that great

Interesting that there's no way to leave the Options menu

ChamberACR responds:

Except with the BACKSPACE button.

boring

it was boring and the music was annoying
