Reviews for "A Typical Wednesday"

Well

Well i was gonna say you should try doing a directional shooter, but i just read your comment saying that you were tryin out a new thing. Sorry dude, due to the sporadic nature of the enemies in this game it would have been a lot better as a directional shooter.

Really easy and then suddenly really hard

Good graphics but unbalanced game play. Suggest looking at a game like 'upgrade complete' to make it progress more evenly

A clusterf@#k of visuals

Not a bad game, and on its merits alone it was addicting and fun, but I found myself unable to play for long because of the pain in my eyes that the visual style gave me. Between the afterimage effects on the enemies, the exploding particles and the screen's tendency to vibrate and shake wildly once the enemies start to really flow it just became too much to watch. Not too say i couldn't follow it, it just hurt my eyes like hell after about 2 minutes of it.

Otherwise simple, music was somewhat bland and the mechanics, while nothing new, were enjoyable. Overall average.

meh

Bleh. Sensitive Jerk put it WAY better than I did, I just find it abit more annoying then him, apparently.

Here's your problem.

The screen shakes worse than Michael J. Fox on a bad day. Couple that with the fact that enemy units look exactly like the fragments they blow up into, and the game is trippin' balls with your mind.

The game reminds me of Frantic 2, basically focus on dodging more than killing/destroying.

The music is pretty good. Graphics are intense, great job.

When I died, there was no point of even trying to survive when I found out my shooter level decreased drastically. I had basically survived long enough from killing my enemies while dodging their attacks - after being killed one time, the enemies started piling up on the screen, increasing the attacks two-fold. In other words, after you die, the difficulty is multiplied in the very least. It's nigh impossible to continue playing successfully, much less surviving for very long after the first defeat.

One thing you should consider is disabling the "trailing" or "ghosting" effect everything has. It cuts down on the bullshit and flashy stuff and lets the player focus on the game more.
