Reviews for "Guns n Angel"

Eh..

There could of been alot more work put into this, seems short and repetative. Atleast it kept me amused for 10 minutes.

Pink and Deadly?

Well it's not a bad game platform. But that's basically it.
One can see the effort put into this game - there is a good basic engine, character drawings were great but animations weren't very thought out at all.

Levels were VERY repetitive - other than the mayhem of killing dozens of monsters - there isn't much to do. Finding the C4 which acts as a kind of key, destroying walls and even killing bosses is not really satisfying.
Relying heavily on simple killing gameplay COULD work, but again it needs to be more satisfying. From better killing animations (the shotgun 'pieces' death wasn't nearly enough) to better sound effects...maybe combo effects to compensate for lacking gameplay...SOMETHING!

Framerate was WAAY over the top for me - though you do get a bonus for allowing so many enemies on - screen, EVERYTHING wa very fast from huge amounts of enemies just flying in endlessly, to fast movement.
This could be simply my hardware (though it's not such a powerhouse so...), but this is still something you should be taking under consideration.
Movement was not only VERY fast, but felt kind of simplistic. A more realistic feel to things, and giving movement a better flow to it would be a great benefit.
Again - animation and speed are the key here.

Graphically the game was not bad, but there was no sense of STYLE.
The anime like character animations had nothing to do with the level background (which weren't great as it is), which gave it all a very amateurish look. Menus also had nothing to do with general style, and the music was just annoying. Part of making a good game is also adding the correct style elements. Adding music or graphics which do not fit the game, does not add to a game but actually diminishes from it.

In the end - as I've said up top - you had a decent game engine but not much more. Level building could have been somewhat thought of more, especially
since you're promising "action pack levels" and "3 UNIQUE enviroments".
Turning this engine into a more defense oriented game could make good use of the engine - and will save you the trouble of building decent levels.
But for a platformer relying on simple killing sprees is just not enough (and even that wasn't done very well as I've pointed above).
I still do believe this could be a GREAT platformer if you'd put some effort into level building and gameplay - since the gun wielding part IS pretty COOL.

Anyway - good luck in the future!

good

Not a bad game the only main gripe that I have is being on a platform above the bat things and still either getting hit by them or having them go right through it like it wasn't even there and you can't hit them through the platform and the rocket launcher doesn't seem very strongand there doesn't seem to be very many health packs at the last level and then when you do find one you have to fight through trolls rats and usually loose abunch of health just getting the health.

fine but...

bad controls. the player gets stuck aiming at one point and goes on that way till he finds a wall. fix it.

i know who made this
