Reviews for "Across the Universe: Ep.1"

...

You're either a film student or a huge fan of sci-fi ha
Either way, the scenery is excellent; your style gave the flash a nice ambiguous vibe to it. You didn't have to say a word in the beginning, but you set the mood perfectly.
I watched it til the end and then noticed that you had another episode. Probably a prologue. I watched it too. And I must say, that I like the characters' flow in the other one better. One last thing: It feels like there's a missing link between the 2 flashes.
I'll be waiting for episode 2.

Ama-za-zing lmao

First I'd like to say that your animation is freakin amazing. I love how you add cartoon-like characters to the real world. You still need work on your subs though. Don't use capitalization on the parts they yell or scream on, just type it the right way like as I was watching a movie. The other little detail to add is; I love your style of art but if your going to add cartoon characters with real world stuff then make them seem like they are in the flash not kind of like sticking out ya know. You probably didn't catch that. On the last note, the voice acting was good but the damn phone was terrible lol I mean every phone you hear with the message voice on there will be like "You have two messages" not "two Messages". That's all.. You gotta 10/10 from me man. I'll be waiting for the next ATU.

Interesting.

Good story, and fantastic use of suspense. I really like where this story is going. However, I must say that I dislike your animating style. Your animation itself is pretty fluid and decent enough when it comes to non-characters, and the opening scene in particular is incredible.
What I find difficult to handle, though, is that your characters are "cartoon" while most everything else is "real." If this was something light on story, such as a stick figure battle or the like, then it would be negligible, but not with an animation like this. When you're developing characters, trying to make them seem like actual people, it is very important to make them seem as lifelike as they can be. It needs to be as easy as possible to relate to the characters, and that means having them look, talk, act, and move realistically. Your characters, unfortunately, constantly remind me that I'm watching a cartoon. In the sequel, I strongly suggest that you make more detailed and fluid characters. Such devotion to everything else is amazing; just apply youself as much to your characters.

FINALLY!!!

I've been waiting for this for a long time. Nevertheless there were a few problems in my opinion. The only one that is of any consequence is the fact that the characters look almost totally different. Aside from that: Great job. Animation was incredible, Story was suspensefull, Leftme wanting more. 9/10

Nice

Yea its been about 3 years since ATU. Why the long gap in time?
