Reviews for "Sonic Reversal: Ep. III"

Awesome

I really liked how you made the action scenes, nice story and this possibly might even get front page, even if it doesn't I say your close to getting there, the quality of this was top notch and I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Damn. =O

I'd rate it an absolute 10 if not for an incredibly minor problem I saw through out the movie, and that's the complete chaos of it all. =/
Lets not get down to the suckish things though, and get right down to the uber awesomness of it all. =D
To begin, I believe the main reason your flash is down in the dumps is basically because since you took quite a long time to upload it, people's attention have moved elsewhere. I came across simply by chance since my mind briefly strayed to Sonic Reversal and decided to search it again. Now, the beginning kinda had me disinterested since there wasn't a single punch, kick, or good-all homing attack to be seen, but as you for further in, you obviously failed to disappoint. =D
The battles themselves were freakin epic, especially the incredibly powerful smacks Knuckles and a few other characters occasionally provided to each other. Usually Knuckles though. Eack battle pretty much had me wide eyed and staring straight at the screen as Sonic owned and Knuckles obliterated practically everyone. The music was also absolutley perfect for it all, but thats one of the features I would've prefered to have seen later. I mean, I've heard the music with Solaris countless times, and it always gives me goosebumps. But there's the problem; it would have been so much better if you had saved it for one of the battles near the end, as I can see no other song that fits more perfectley in place than in an incredibly epic battle, usually quite near or at the end of the series. =/
Nonetheless, it still magnified the experience several times its orignal strength, so I really have no right to complain. But Jesus Christ, I absolutley loved when they escaped the cavern. As the music reached it's climax, you showed Sonic and the gang narrowly escaping the lava. Now, it wasn't the escape itself that got me freakin excited, but the powerful explosion that resonated from the lava as it exploded out, coupled with the climax of Solarisis music, simply sent my entire body running with goosebumps. The power of the explosion emphasized on how powerful the lava was and what Sonic and the gang narrowly avoided, and since it was so incredibly loud, it made for quite and epic moment. :D
I believe the rest is self explanatory; absolutley awesome.
But now we gotta get to the flaws, and fortunatley, there's only one. And that, as you stated yourself, is the chaos. So many characters are flying off the screen and re-appearing that you can't focus on just one. If you do, you'll find him launched off in about 2 seconds, and so your brain switches its attention to someone else, who'll also fly off the screen in a matter of seconds. Because of this, your eyes receive a major work out, and by the time it's over, you seem somewhat tired. That's not as bad as it sounds if it was just one battle, but it's every single battle again and again, so you really just resolve on shifting your gaze to anything that looks interesting. Thats also a problem though, EVERYTHING looks interesting. When Tails snagged the chaos emerald from Shadow, I didn't even notice until viewing it again. Only when Knuckles snagged it and you drew attention to it by thrusting it in the air did I see it. Anyway, overall, just work on making things a bit easier to follow, because it'll drain the viewer during the whole thing. And try making things stand out a bit more, or better yet, draw attention to someone or something. Being able to rest your eyes on one thing thats absolutley owning is much better than having numerous characters owning their own respectice enemies. =/
Oh, and you'd better get Amy back in here. I don't really mind her, but I miss Sonic's constant reactions toward her.

THE BATTLE WAS AMAZING

Absolute classic. Sonic RPG might have the cast of characters, Final Fantasy Sonic X might have the bigger fanbase, and Super Mario Bros Z might have the more sensible storyline but this one has ALL OF THEM BEAT ON THE FIGHT SCENE ALONE. The... to be frank, completely off character portrayals of the 2 Team Dark members are very jarring but holy SHIT the fight scene is incredible. To this day there's nothing that tops this episode. It's absolutely absurd how much recognition FFSX gets all these years later and this remains in its shadow, despite one undoubtedly being better than the other from the angle of sheer spectacle alone.

Decent

The story is pretty solid (A lot more then most spirte movies) and the fighting is pretty good too, my main problem was with how repetative the backround is during fights. I know a lot of people are going to say "Alvin Earthworm this..." but for the most point they have a point. Alvin's fights are top notch, interesting and fun to watch. My advise would be watch SMBZ episode 6 (the last one on Yoshi island, I think it's epi 6) and just take notes on the fight scene in that. I felt kind of bored watching the fights in your flash at times.

Other than that, it was pretty good, the drawings I'm going to assume you did yourself for metal sonic was good too. All in all, 8/10 and 4/5.
