There's a 35 year old, unclean douche who talks to himself in the morning, living with the forest children, who sounds like Homer Simpson, and seems like he doesn't really know whats going on around him, but jumps right into action?
Sounds like a winner to me. I'll be watching the rest.

Because it's The Legend of David, I had to give it a personally good rating. I've seen the original versions a long time ago before the new ones personally don't see why you had to make new ones.
There is room for improvement.
The drawing style and the animation were quite OK, but in some scenes they looked unnecessarily cheap. For example, the backgrounds in the tree could use some details and this scene where David grabs sth. out of a chest looks wrong somehow.
The sound was implemented well and has an adequate quality, only David's voice becomes annoying very quickly and isn't funny in my opinion.
The story and the jokes are good, but everything could be a bit more fast-paced, the slapstick scenes should be faster as well.
I am looking forward to the next episode.

I noticed I some errors though.
1) Why'd he have to take Link's sword and shield when his house was packed with gear?
2)That isn't where you get the slingshot, it's where you get the Dungeon Map.
3) Everyone knows that "Deku" is pronounced DEE-KOO, not DEK-OO, that just sounds weird, and for some reason, makes me want to punch something out of fury.
