The most cinematic experience on Newgrounds yet
I halfheartedly clicked this game on the frontpage out of boredom, and was completely unprepared for the scale of what I got. This game is an impressive mix of elaborate technology and cinematic presentation - the incredible art coupled with the epic music score is really inmersive. I think that alone earns it a ten out of ten, as it's really of a caliber you almost never see on Newgrounds. I was playing on a touchpad, which made the game almost impossibly difficult at times, but the magnificent presentation kept me playing until I finished it. As I played, I found that I actually was interested by and cared about the world I was placed in - that NEVER happens in throwaway Flash games - and regretted not getting to learn more about it in this installment. On top of that, the game is impressively long for such a complex undertaking - I kept expecting it to end, but there was always another challenge, or another boss, or an even more epic moment than the last.
Of course, there are flaws; some crazy graphical glitches, most apparently, and the gameplay is a little oversimplified (though that's forgivable, due to the complexity of the programming for a game like this). I'm glad you've set up for a sequel, because the game engine shows incredible potential if you improve on it. Hopefully you'll be able to fix some of the bugs, and obviously I suggest the addition of things like new weapons, improved animations, and more enemy types.
