A little too ahead of its time?

You obviously worked very hard to make this work, and it's great that you went for something innovative. There was also a rudimentary plot which would probably have deepened if I had played on. Unfortunately, I just don't think Flash is up to the challenges of 3D gaming yet, and the gameplay suffered as a result.

Kudos for the experiment, though. Technology needs people who will push the boundaries, and push them you did.

That's a great compliment. Part of what i wanted to achieve was to put those boundaries. Id love 3d to be accessiblke to all people who make games and maybe flash will develop to where more and more people see its possible and create something truly great:)

Not to shabby, but the graphics need a lot of work. Plus... it's freakin' hard to move in that thing with both the mouse and the keyboard, especially when the game starts to move slow.

i think on some browsers/systems the mouse reticule lags behind the mouse and this makes it very hrd to play. Wasthat the case with you or was there otrher problems with the control sheme? I'd love your advice, and thank you for commenting:)

okay, but....

the game has alot of graphical glitches and the controls are a little slow. although this is a good concept and and the 3d layout isnt all bad. but i think there should have been an extra weapon and the areas could have been a little less confusing (i.e. the area with the spider things in the forest, i died 4 times before i found the green tranporter). over all though this was an okay game, it offered some action in the battles and the story is good. i suppose ill keep my eye out the second game

yes there were some flaws in the game, for exapmle in the cutscens the animation was to slow to keep up with the dialouge (might have just been my comp) and sometimes the enemies didnt die when you shoot them..and there where 1 or 2 other things but to be honest i guess thats what u can expect from any 3d flash game... but enough about the flaws this game was sweet in many ways...i like all the ways u make the game seem cinematic in a sense.. jumpin on top of a mothership and ridin down as it is about to crash..the overall story was good. i liked the beggining alot..it reminded me of the video game mirrors edge....and just the overall idea of it all...good work man and if possible try to to fix the bugs people discover in the circle and then im sure the 2nd daily place will become a 1st

i just played mirrors edge demo and loved it:) Cinematic presentation is a major goal of mine. I have to play the game as i code it and the first time i was able to successfully get on top of the mothership high above the desert i was like -cool! Definitly the complexity of working with 3d in flash at this early stage limits some possibilities but it opens up new ones. Thanks for the encouragement - im really excited to keep what works (cinematic experience) and fix what doesnt:)

Flash not good in 3D thought

My point pay for your effort to make a 3d game in flash. But i still recommend not to make a 3d game in flash cuz the bad graphic couldn't beat the gameplay and graphic of offline games, and 3d have many bugs, glitchs and other things.
Flash fit with minigame in 3d, and be honest, i didn't see any 3d flash games that can be rated "good " in my opinion.

I think I see youyr point. I definitely spread my resources a bit thin attempting something so big in flash 3d, which is still in its infancy. my next project may be something much smaller so i can bring out all the best flash 3d has to offer. Sometimes a smaller project allows you to focus more. But sooner or later we're going to see more vast epic 3d stuff online - it may just take some time. Thanks for commenting:)
