Reviews for "Warfare: 1917"

First rate strategy

Another great effort from Con-Artists. The gameplay is pretty simple, but it's surprisingly fast moving which takes some getting used to. People looking for a realistic wargame should look elsewhere, but otherwise this is outstanding. I love the WWI setting, and the game uses it to provide a surprisingly original experience.

All told, I really enjoyed this game.

Good Game

The only problem is on the last level I was winning and somehow my troops moral was depleted, even though I had double the kills the Germans did. Whatever, fun little game.

Nice Game.

Although there are a few bugs and minor issues that need to be worked on to make this a truly great game.

One of the major issues i have with this game is the sheer gimpiness of artillery/mortar shells. Usually what will happen is my men will unfortunately tend to clump together at one point on the side of a trench during a enemy artillery bombardment and be blown to kingdom come by a single lucky shot leaving the british/germans to invade my now vacant trench.

A suggestion for this game would probably be to enable the player to "combine" troop squads for different tactical situations. For example, If i want to be able to take and successfully hold a trench then i could combine a Assault Team with a Lewis Gunner squad. The cost for a combination squad could be something like taking a very long time to arrive at it's target destination.

In addition to the above point. Allowing decimated squadrons to form together would be helpful as my trenches would often be filled with assault teams with 2 out of 4 members dead.

Sapper squads could also potentially be commissioned to reinforce trenches with for example extra defence for the squads stationed in said trench for players such as myself who enjoy forcing the enemy to surrender.

Another excellant suggestion was suggested by Bnw2000 who suggested the use of Warplanes/Bombers. While aircraft during the first world war were commonly used only in a reconissance role it was not unheard of for pilots to carry home-made explosives to drop over enemy trenches during the scouting mission.

Overall however, This is a excellent game with much potential. Thanks for making a decent quality WWI game.

Not bad at all.

Furious don't give a game a bad review just because you suck at it. His overall score shouldn't be affected just because YOU find it too hard to play. Anyways, it's fun and interesting. I thought it was a bit too easy in the beginning, but then I got to the first tank and couldn't get past that. Rated it a 9/10 based on Gameplay, Graphics, and Difficulty. Nice work.

this game is awesome except for

the 4th or 5th lvl. it is hard it sais that your morale has depleted and your men have surrendered
