Very in depth and amusing. I like the thwomps in the upside down castle, myself. I also appreciate the very end with Luigi. I would really like to see that story play out, and yours was the only take on that "easter egg" that made me interested.
The beginning of the music gets covered by the sound effects of the flag and crushing the big brick pile. It makes it rather jarring when it breaks in. Also, I think it needed some more zaniness. The song evokes the "chase scene" from the movie of the same name, and it was almost too straight laced with it's longer sequences of what's going on.
Mind you, this is mostly preference on the second suggestion. You're getting a 9 here, but yu're getting a 5 vote. One sound issue should not prevent a finely crafted piece from being given appropriate credit.
