Reviews for "Cookie Tycoon"

hard

it's a really neat idea, but it was way to hard to make money, i never got past day 4 without going bankrupt. you cannot price your items high enough to make money, you need a way to increase price by 1 not 5

Nah...

I thought it would be more fun but it wasn't...
Pay attention to what was said in previous reviews and you'll know what I mean. I don't want to quote, but I agree with everything that was written below.

Noticed some things people said...

I've seen a lot of comparisons to lemonade tycoon & have to say I agree. The game was fun but having those goofy little adverse elements that break up the monotony would have been great. I used to have lemonade tycoon on my cell phone & loved it, even the simple crappy cell phone game that it was. The idea of gangsters thrashing your cooky store & hiring security is a bit out there (that game nightclub ringing any bells folks?) but did add just a hint of the unpredictable element. A little more adversity & the game would have been a well deserved 10. Locations... competing neighboring stores & perhaps weather, gangsters, & maybe customer accidents, or kitchen mistakes would stir things up a bit. Hope there's a sequel in the works because this game really is a good game, & with some minor tweaks could go from the label or good game to GREAT game easily.

Relatively good game,

With some slight issues. Everything seemed completely random, such as sales peaks and slumps for no reason - and there was no real visible demand/supply curve at all. I had one day where I had my cookies up for $40000 a piece and sold out, the next day sold them at $10 and sold 3.

The price fluctuations in the ingredients allowed (at least at the start) for higher profit than the actual baking of items!

All the "could be better" "that sucked" REALLY !$@#ing annoyed me. At least if there were a few more phrases, even if those were complaint phrases, it would not quite have been so annoying. (seems to annoy most of the reviewers)

Also, the patrons seemed to get a bit lost at times and spazz out, causing a blur of movement.

All in all, summary:

What the game has going for it:
Interesting concept, tasty idea.
Good graphics, acceptable music.
Fun until you figure out that it's really a bit too random to actually enjoy yourself by figuring out the game (because there's no real way to do so)

Negatives:
!@%$$!$%!%@#$!@ customer comments.
An economic system that seems not to follow any set rules. (one day I'll make a kajillion, the next day: not a penny)
Too many "gangster robberies" or whatever before you can afford security guards.
Easier to buy/sell ingredients than actually follow the game concept.
Needs a 500/1000/10000 for the ingredients.

All in all, quite good but needs some refinements.

i love cookies but...

im too lazy to really get into this game so i give you an 8 cause whoever can come up with a buissness game about cookies must be brilliant

maybe later
