Reviews for "The Necronomicon 2.0"

This was actually pretty good...

It kept me hooked, for sure. And I´m a pretty diehard fan of the whole Lovecraftian thing, so I understood most of the cards.

Things had certainly improved from the last one, Taint raping is now possible without Megalomania, the new cards look smashing, and Challenge mode is a nice addition.

Although sadly, the fights tend to go a bit slow at times when you can´t draw a damage card. Or when you´re schizophrenic and only have summon cards at hand.

But then, you´re playing a very well made Lovecraftian(-ish) card game, so that´s forgiven. :D/-K

great game

but try making the cards only 1 or 2 in a deck so the opponent cant have 4 dark young charges it happened to me once ;( so itll balance the game much more other than that i see no mistakes even though im not a pro at animation

Glitch

Found all monster attacks went through invunrablility, Yes all of them. It sucked when you counted on them >-> and it also made the invunerablility close to useless besides gaurding against spells.

Plowking74 responds:

Invulnerability is a tad misleading, will change it to arcane or spell defense or something. It isn't meant to prevent against creature attacks, only the spells (which can be the most damaging)

Excellent

Genuinely Excellent. I would love to see an expanded version of this game. More cards, perhaps another type of card (i.e Monster, healing, attack etc) would be be great.

Good Work.

great minus 1 thing

it was simple to pick up and learn, how ever, i HATE (make that font 96, bold and underlined) building up to a high level, losing 1 time, and it is over. start from ground zero. i made it up to rank 9... before finally getting beat. after putting in all that effort to get to that point in the game.... it is not doing again. either put in save point, reduction in rank if defeated, something to help the player press on. solid idea for a game, a few minor tweeks will make this game really shine.

Plowking74 responds:

Hi, thanks for the review and score. And same to everyone here who's rated.
Loading the game should work. There's a load game option on the main menu. The level number you're on is displayed in the opponents section.
