Awesome

this was a really great animation. little longer?

Wonderful Concept, Not-so-great execution.

So, here we go. We have here an animated film based on a Disney movie. What with some of the more famous movies, this turns out to be a good idea.

Now, here's the thing; You went off on a limb, here. You took a Disney-inspired concept... and made it your own.

Happiness!

As far as robots can express emotions, you perfectly nailed expression and movement to a point where others could learn from you just by watching, just as the robot did in the film. This was a terrific concept that you were piecing into the movie, each moment passing with greater and greater excitement. Witnessing this character learn and act was, in fact, very entertaining to see, seemingly like Wall-E, but with an entirely fresh concept and design.

However, this excitement suddenly dropped at the very climatic part where a second robot is brought to life. How could it be that such a wonderful film ended on a cliche so overly done? How many times have we watched a movie with one of those "is it a repeated cycle?!?" types of endings, and I expected a concept done so originally to END with originality.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the end of the complaints, but luckily, it IS the end of the big complaint. You see, there WERE obvious signs of "rushing" throughout the film, what with repeated scenes and overused "movie clips." (for those who do not know, a 'movie clip' is a "sub-animation" that plays despite whether the animation is playing or not. They are usually tweened to give a 'motion effect,' and should be used sparingly). The use itself was well-placed, but the number of occurrances just made it noticable. As an added bit of hurt (sorry, of course), the beginning was rather misleading, taking a very low-contrasted ground that is pretending to be a bunch of piles of junk and resizing them into a blurry mass of pixels that deprives some of the fun factor in watching this.

With all of this said, now, I believe that this was a terrific animation with a solid beginning, progressing to a fantastic and intriguing climax! Up to that point, you gave all of the signs and hints that people could determine, and they knew "this is it! Here's where he gives the robot life!"

From me, despite the long amount of complaints, I was thoroughly pleased and I am satisfied with how this video turned out. I will give you a nice high-five for this one. Excellent work.

A Little unoriginal
