rather simple
I felt underwhelmed by this movie. Though the music and sound effects were acceptable, the progression of scenes lacked drama. The physics and art also appeared primitive. Still, the greatest weakness of this movie was that it appeared to start high, showing multiple difficult jumps, and ended low, with the figure flipping his board while traveling on a flat surface. Even movies made only of action, without dialogue or characterization, benefit from a sense of drama.
Drama, imho, derives from the viewer's perception of coherent events. What joined these scenes was a skateboarder performing tricks on a board, but other elements felt incoherent. None of the scenes felt like real places. The first and second scenes used a static camera, but the third scene's camera followed the figure. The movement did not reveal proper physical mechanics, for which our human mind has an immediate intuitive grasp though we may struggle to define them formally. And why would someone perform their most astonishing trick first, and progress down from there?
Better art would be nice, but the author most particularly needs to improve showmanship.
