Level Six

Yeah, please fix that thing with level six . . . plz.

Great game

I just got a huge bug in level six. so the ground opened up and i fell into a pit... that's supposed to happen, right? after that i went to the right, saw a glimpse of a level, then i got stuck on a black screen, couldn't even restart the level. that sucks. but other than the bugginess, its great.

visually impressive

but buggy. with loosey goosey controls cant control the eagle for shit. therwise, very cool.

AWSOME!

Just... awsome.

Pretty and stylized, but lacking

While I like the dramatic feel and overall sleek look of the game, that doesn't really make up for the fact that the game play controlls are sub-par. Firstly, the character slides around far, far too much. You can literally slide further then you walked. I realize he's supposed to be running and skidding to a halt, but it really just makes things slippery and akward, especially when you, as all flash games like this seem to, move to a platform jumping style area.

The slippery movement is bad enough but the bird will glitch out quite often during the game. You can press the A button a sometimes the camera will simply remain fixed. This is especially frustrating with the 'distract the guard' areas where you're wondering where the heck you are. Not to mention that since the 'Switch to the bird full time' button and 'Omg attack hurry attack' button are right next to each other, you often find yourself switching to the bird when you actually meant to be attacking, thus letting your enemies beat on you like a post. Combined with the fact that sometimes the bird will glitch and not return to you when pressing the A button quickly a second time makes for frustrating game play.

My biggest gripe though HAS to be the platforming sections. Your character will sometimes just bounce around on the ground when platforms are going down and it's extremely akward to manuver.

All in all, I like the game. It's pretty, solid and has some interesting bits despite the first boss being a cheap bastard. Still, it feels like good, fluent game play was sacrificed for style, which is something that shouldn't be done if you don't want to frustrate your players.
