Reviews for "What Are We Fighting For"

I like it

I like it. It is great the combination between the animation and the music. Everyone is critiquing the animation, but I think the idea of the flash
Just keep practicing on the animation and continue making stuff

BTW, wha´s the title of the song? the autor? cause i like the song too

thanks, glad you liked it

the song is 'what are we fighting for' by live, you can find them at www.friendsoflive.com

Definetly wasn't perfect.. bu I'm not complaining.

It was pretty frickin good, I'm not gonna lie. It was just painful for me to watch these 3-D figure walk and fall awkwardly. The combo of the flash and the music made this great and the meaning was coveyed well. And, oh yes, the camera shaking and blurring looked professional. Good job with that. The only bad thing was, like I said before, the awkward movements. I suggest making shorter movies that you can put more detail into. Good job.

thanks and glad you liked it, the idea of making a few short animations is one i might use before i make the next bigger one

Cool!

I really liked it! The animations weren't fantastic, but good nevertheless. And the song was very nice. I love the ending, it was the best part.

good to hear, and glad to see you like the way it ends

Good: Great song. Nice animation, and great artistic representation of the song, especially the bit in the chapel. My favorite bit was the plane and, an odd detail, the bomb dropping. That was pretty damn impressive. And, of course, it's not easy to do art with a message without coming off preachy, I know. You did it to a T.

Bad: The guys' joints didn't seem to work right. You could tell what happened there in the chapel, but it was a little disjointed between the grenade (?) getting thrown in and the destruction that followed. It wasn't always clear why guys fell down, like the one guy who took out the three running towards him. None of them were armed. How did he get shot? Overall, that stuff seems nitpicky, but I thought you might want the criticism.

Ugly: The song was maybe a little over-dramatic. "What will you tell your kids," or something like that, it said. As far as I can remember or have read, kids love hearing war stories from their parents. It's the demogogues who send soldiers that'll have a tough time explaining themselves if they're alive when people look back on the senseless destruction of lives and resources. But the animation was understated and made a good counterpoint to that aspect of the music.

raven9892002 responds:

the nitpicky things are always where i have failed in the past and it is good to have someone point them out for me, hopefully there won't be things like that in the next one

Good

If made in Flash, Fucking Ridiculous.
But Im pretty sure that you used endorphin, which is still a challenge to work with but definitely not as satisfying.
Still great job though
5/5

raven9892002 responds:

it wasn't made in endorphin, i use 3dsmax instead
