Reviews for "What Are We Fighting For"

Well done.

The animation wasn't the best, but I think that the movie was very well done in spite of that. Using the nondescript soldiers worked well in particular, as well as the use of the shaken "camera" to indicate explosions and such. I did think that it matched the song a little too literally; when it got to the soldier looking at the picture of a daughter and shifting it aside of cue to the next picture, it coincided with the song so exactly that it seemed a little silly. Good job, keep working!

at first the anonymous soldiers were only there because i couldn't manage to model anything more detailed but once i started work on this i began to realize just how well they were working out so i just continued to use them.

also, I'll try not to be so literal with scenes like that one in the future

It's not that bad.

It had a good message and all that, and I love how you did the camera angles and the blurs. But the animation needs a lot of work, and the soldiers didn't look that great. Still, it was nice to watch.

thanks, its good to see it has done its job and managed to get you thinking

Pretty good

...But with the right programs it could have been better. They're were some nice textures and particle effects in there. But the animating wasnt quite top notch. And the flash seemed a little empty being that there were only two buildings and some dismall charecters. I highly advise using a game engine's graphics for projects like these to get best effects. And the Cryengine 2 is perfect for a military one. It comes with the Crysis for a total of $50 and gives the best grpahics, ever. Highly recomended.
But about the flash. Overall good attempt but you could have been a little more adjustable and creative with the right software. Also work on those animations. Im not saying they were bad they just wernt smooth or life-like. But good attempt none the less. Cheers!

nice to see what you think of it, i currently am using a software mental ray renderer and the results you get from it all just depend on what you put in, and i just haven't been able to put in the details i need to get the stunning results you talk of out, on top of that you have to remember that i did all this on my laptop, so big scenes = big crash :(

nice, could use more work

smoother animation and more quality on the music would be nice (the music was sounding like my speaker was in a tin can )

raven9892002 responds:

next time ill be sure to have higher quality sound (kinda overcompressed it this time) and the animation is going to be one of my central working points for next time

Finally, something non flash

Was ok, but much of the doll movements were not good.
I am glad though that I'm finally seeing some cool 3d stuff thats not flash. about time.
Also this was not bad overall.
keep it up I wanna see more.
Also even though the doll movements were bad in several scenes, this animating is very hard. So I take that into account.
But dont let this review put u off, I wanna see more please, I know u can improve greatly and u will definitely make great stuff, I just know, I can tell by the quality of this work.

thanks, its the feedback from people like you that make me want to improve and do more of these
