Reviews for "Man of Sorrow (MMD-MS Collab)"

Nice job

This is pretty nice stuff... too bad you didn't have a better piano sound. It was a bit tinny, maybe you could mellow it down a bit if you make a new version.

This is a great song, and there are many many good things about it which other people have picked out. So, I will be the asshole and critique.

Some of the instruments were not together (mainly when you were "all together now". If this was intended, it was destracting. If it wasn't intended, it should be pretty easy to fix. The notes are right, just a bit off.

Maestro- I loved the entrance of the strings in form of a major chord, it was very beautiful. The drums seemed a bit lacking in punch, maybe have them louder, or have a bit more complicated beat as they progress?

Milkman, the drum beat was nice, I liked it. Simple, yet catchy. You may want to fatten them up a bit too though, the sounded thin (too trebleish).

I think it would be better if you scrapped the voices, but if you each had your own theme that you somehow portrayed in the song. Maybe Milkman's could be more electronic, and Maestro's could be more classical.

Don't get me wrong guys... this is a great piece of music. I think the ideas are all there, they just need to be developed and tweaked a bit more. Keep it up you two!

(for the record, I'm giving you guys 5/5 for this because I really want to see you get some recognization for this piece!)

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Ahhh... Critique... and well recieved. You noted many of the things I noted myself, but kind of shrugged at, as to the untrained ear... they aren't important. But... since I'm playing to an audience of many trained ears... perhaps I should fix it. Guess I'll come out with a remake of this just to be on the safe side. I noticed the jarbledness at the end where the instruments clash ever so slightly.. not sure why it is they do that... but I shall find it and fix it none the less. As for the drums... come on man... I got a keyboard... I had to drum that beat by hand, using... piano keys... if I could make em fatter I would lol. Thanks for the in debt review, much of which will go into consideration for future collabs. This is our first... but not our last.

Excellent!

This is an amazing collab. Congrats to you and to MaestroSorrow on this amazing piece of work.

The voices do sound a bit weird. But are still ok, they jsut feel a little awkward. Maybe if they were more voices and that they were regualrised they wouldn't feel weird, well to me anyway, it's just a matter of taste.

The rest of the song is mind blowing! The piano is superb, so is the beat and everything else.

Great work, i hope your next collab turns out as good as this one if not better.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Ahhh yes... the voices... well... my voice anyways. I guess I'm gunna hafta officially release a version without em. No problem... that's what reviews are for. I really like the beat myself... when I went to Maestro with it... we immediatley decided that that's what our Collab would be. :)... Good choice I guess. Thanks very much.

MilkMan-Dan responds:

SWEET A McPerfectBurger... that's two... oh that rocks... thanks Solus... always a valued opinion... thanks for also liking the voice... I didn't think it was that bad either :).
