Reviews for "Rollin' Challenge 1.0!"

Great start

Excellent start, hope to see more such as holes in the middles of tiles, more levels, more backrounds, and perhaps something better then a crown. Also, instructions, not like it's needed but, It's nice to have. :D Keep up the good work, looking foward to 2.0.

Thanks for the comments! Graphics and such were secondary to getting the generator working smoothly, but 2.0 will be prettier :)

innovative design

loved the way the levels were always changing, it provided a new experience that I would like to see in the games submitted to newgrounds. A few things that could be added to improve would be a time limit, enemies and a highscore system. (an assortment of cute cuddly kittens would also increase the games ranking!)

dem0nikk responds:

Kittehs? Not sure how to include em, but I'll look into it- I hadnt thought about enemies, but a timer/time limit system is in the works :)

pretty fun

this game is addictive and fun you should make more!

dem0nikk responds:

I'll work on that :)

Looks good to me

It could do with a bit of spicing up, like an animation or whatever of the ball falling "off the edge" and so on, but it runs smoothly even on my old excuse for a computer. Just do yourself a favour and put original ideas into it so it won't just look like yet another clone. And as said, a bit more eyecandy, make it more "lively". Then it could be real fun to play.

I did have loader problems too, though, it stayed blank until it was about 90% done loading, and first then it showed the loader.

That should keep you busy, good job! :)

dem0nikk responds:

Hrrm, the Loader Eh? I'll look into that- Thanks!

As for graphics, Yeah, its very clone-esque now, but it wont be in 2.0! Well, it might be... but I hope not!

Thanks for the input!

All right, but gets boring.

It's a pretty good game, with some pretty good levels. Games like this are bound to get boring sooner or later, but the level generator helps push it toward later. With some powerups, obstacles, etc. it could be fun, and maybe add some premade levels? An engine to let us build our own levels and play other people's levels would be good. It doesn't have to be complex, just one of those things where you make a level and when you save it, it gives you some code that you can use to play it again on another computer.

dem0nikk responds:

interesing ideas! ill have to look into save/load stuff!
