Reviews for "Ether Cannon"

dumb

very stupid game, not worth the 2 minutes spent loading and playing the first level...

Good game with some glaring faults.

Frankly, this game just reminds me of Asteroids, but with the ability to upgrade the ship. I found that by simply forsaking the engine and gun and dumping every single power-up into the turret, you can easily mow through the game simply by using your ship as a battering ram, occasionally retreating when the energy runs a bit low. So that's a bit of a downer--it's not much fun when you can blaze through 60% of the levels literally without touching the controls. But even when I played legitimately and tried to even out the power-ups...it's just doesn't have stamina. After 5 minutes it gets boring, after 10 minutes it becomes a chore, and when after 15 minutes I realize I'm only like halfway through the game, I just lose all desire to finish it.

It is indeed a well programmed game and shows some thought, but when you look past the nice particle effects and awesome soundtrack...it's just Asteroids.

Bestest Shooter I've evar seen!

Awesome game, loved it. I died a few times, but I beat it.Except for the boss fight. I died many....many....many times. I just wish all that ether energy I absorbed could of been spent before the game ended. You know, like a sandbox mode.

For people who can't beat the big red guy (gas)...

I suggest you spend some points on engine. Destroy all the grunts first and wait for the boss to come at you. Dodge, and continue firing from the side. Continue like that and you'll have no effort destroying it. At least, thats what I did. Nice game

Great Game... needs a bit of work to be awsome

This game could be awsome. It just needs a few tweaks, namely that the cursor was too small and hard to see and the bullets would go too slow at times. Overall great presentation, and I liked how you could feel when you were getting hit.
