Reviews for "Mardek Rpg: Chapter 2"

Pretty cool man

I cant go without rating this 10/10 because I love any rpg game (especially anything that reminds me of ff 1 , 2 and 3!). I started learning flash last week and I cant wait to make an old school rpg like this one. Props for all the time you must have spent, and I found no largely noticeable bugs. Thanks for this game pal.
10 here and a 5 there.

Awsome

I waited a long time for this game and it was totally worth it

frickin' awesome

this game is plain awesome with it's story, music, and battles and it was kind of difficult too but in a good way. some things you should add with the next chapter is a higher money drop rate or a reduction in shop prices and a decent drop rate of heals in dungeons, a heal crystal before boss fights so you don't walk right into it unsuspectingly with your characters damn near dead, also you should use the same cursor that you did in chapter I since it's looks better than the hand cursor you used, also have less bosses that hit ya with a bunch of status ailments like the zombie locksmith since that is a rather cheap way to make a boss hard lol.

the story is pretty damn awesome and the ending was rather amazing and unsuspected (won't release and details of it though :P) the last two bosses was the best in the game and was actually hard, the final boss i was surprised with that i beat him because Vehrn (spelling?) and Emela died and i was out of phoenix down and i beat him with only Mardek and Deugan left. only got one game over in the game too, against the zombie warrior, the first one, had no clue that there was going to be a boss fight and wound up dieing fast to him since my characters was low on hp and couldn't heal and shield them fast enough and he killed every one with one hit lol >.<.

can't wait for the third chapter, hope it comes out a little faster than chapter II, no rush though.

Good.

Lots of enemies, the game is pretty easy, and the plot, (which I think is the main part of any game, along with the dialog) is good.

Usualy I don't do this, but where exactly is that second key to the Trilobit Cave? After the ZOmBieS attacked the second town, I went back to all of the other areas, found all the chests(I think) using the map, found the first key, but then there was another one. I started a new game, so I'm hoping that I'll get a reply. Also hoping that ther'll be plot in the cave. :)

Incredible

That was probably the best flash game that I've ever played, and I'm not just spouting nonsense. I spent a good 7 hours to beat it and sorta' lazed about, finished with only 60ish percent of the treasure found. Anyway, it was great and I enjoyed (just about) every moment of it.

Well, onto the problems, the only bug that I noticed was a funky thing that happened while I was trying to heal my party with Mardek's heal spell out of battle. Sometimes the spell element 'icon' would shift and the text would read "undefined" instead of "light". It wasn't a big problem though, since I could just close the screen, try to heal again, and it would go away after a moment.
And now for some non-technical complaints =3.

I found that the battles became a little tedious, and they were the main reason why I didn't try too hard to obtain all the treasure. Then again that may just be a personal problem that doesn't really apply to everyone, but eh. The items in the shops (in my opinion) were simply terrible compared to the ones that you find in the field. The only thing that I actually bought from NPC's were the second level swords, the lightning wand, and a couple of one-use items (I finished the game with over 15,000 unspent shinys). Ooh, and I also couldn't find any side-quests (like the robot man in Ch. 1) other than the trilobite cave, but then again I might've just missed them.

So, all in all I think you've created an amazing game. I played through all of one and two and I simply love your style. As I've said before, everything about the game was great (I liked the humor a lot in particular) and I wish you luck on any of your future works.
