Reviews for "An Unfortunate Corpse"

I agree with moldboy

This was excellent. I think you could do so much more with this piece. It's twisted and dark, and can shock many if played the right way.

Such potential

Terrific concept, moody music, spectacular artwork, beautifully dark feel, and well-written poetry. But I didn't like it.

You guys really seem to have a good thing going with the poetry/animation mix, which is why I was so disappointed to find that, while the poem was entertaining, the animation itself was nothing more than a well-drawn guy... walking. I think, since you're so good at animation, you should make a real animation. Keep the poem the way it is, and do a full-fledged animated short to match. This really has potential for a darkly beautiful masterpiece. Don't let it go to waste.

You two are talented

I use to write poems myself, so I really enjoyed this one here. Although you cut out some parts of it, the story is told in a very good way. What else could I say - oh, I want to add some of my poetry skills: "From his first step into life till he takes his last breath, a man can never be gifted what his heart wants to have." (thanks for reading ^^) I hope you and your mate are going to produce more stuff like this.

DarkGaruda responds:

hey thanks man. Good lil bit of poetry you got goin too :) You can kind of look at this as a beginning. We're both off to uni but will hopefully be making stuff like this in the mean time.

Very gothic, in a good way

Very poetic and dark. Nothing like a lot of Newground submissions.

Truly Original!

We don't get many poems on Newgrounds, and since the population of the online community has gone to kids and assholes(uh,oh! A cuss word!) This is underappreciated. and now, the population wants anime muscleheads screaming and flying around shooting lasers from their eyes, and blood and gore ensues. Beautiful Art like this makes it to the front page, because Tom Fulp knows this. so, if the score dips too low, it pretty much confirms all of what I have said.

If you have read this far, you have amazing patience. Thank you.
