What was the point of putting that rock on top of the mountain?

It's all explained in the myth..which goes by the same name as the title.
but if you can't be bothered which i expect you won't be, it was sisyphus' punishment by the gods to roll a boulder to the top of a mountain being unable to succeed for ever. It's a dark myth and i chose to focus upon a lighter side of the main part of the myth which was his punishment so portrait in the following animation.
