Reviews for "The Orphan: Part 3"

Good job.

This is quite nice, i like it how the man gets a little "surprise", hehe.
This gave me a little scare. I'd suggest you keep the horror somewhat paranormal/something of the sort.

Anyways- This was done quite well. Judging by that footpring on door, someone already tried to get out by kicking the door, which must've been locked. and since the windows are nailed with boards, there is no escape, so the main character naturally hides in the bathroom.

Graphics:The graphics were awesome, i'll give you 8/10 on that.
Audio: The audio was appropriate, helping the atmosphere.
Except you could work on that radio. Add some shout/weeping between the static. :D
Interactivity:Well, i guess all that we really need is play/replay button, and there are links to previous parts. 6/10
Humor:Didn't find anything funny. (cuz it's not supposed to be, i guess xP) 0/10
Overall: Good job, keep up the good work! 7/10

Good atmosphere, funny texture differences

Your use of silence was excellent, "Signs" used that effect similarily.
The image of the head and the hanging body was disturbing enough, it didn't need to have a screaming blare behind it, so good thinking avoiding that.
Unlike alot of the people on this site, I don't understand flash animation very well, other than to say what seems good, and what seems bad, but from a technical standpoint, I don't understand all the code, although I can tell from all the 3-D, this must have been hard to do. So my score of 7/10 isn't based on flash, but on mood and story. And the reason I am only giving it a 7 out of 10 for those reasons is because I flt the mood didnt match the graphics very well. The main character is undeniably cartoony, where as the environment he occupies and the dead bod had an eerie realism.
Things like the toilet and the shower curtain, with a complete lack of texture, looked funny against hihgly textured walls. This took away from the mood in my opinion. But still, it was quite good, and I was still feeling quite tense depsite this minor nag of mine.
Great Work!!

yea..

yawn, pretty lame in my opion, but ur good non the less
i laughed pretty hard when he gasped

Very intertesting original series

I must say that I'm impressed with this series but I'm not excited about it. Your strength as an animator is obviously in the design of the setting. You were really able to being out that eerie, "don't open that door!" kind of feeling, however, I feel that the biggest issue with this series is its lack of plot.
I've noticed that a few of the reviews given on this project compare The Orphan to Silent Hill and I must say that I can't disagree any more than I already do. I'm a HUGE SH fan because I feel the SH series carries such a well thought out plot that twists and turns and becomes so dysfunctional that the game's players feel like they're going to go nuts. I'm not getting that feeling with your series.
You're definitely well on track to make this a promising horror animation, but it will go no where if you don't give a story to go along with it.
I hope you don't view my commentary as bashing you in any way. Believe me, it's far from it. I just want to be honest and help you in bettering your animation.
I will definitely keep an eye out for thr fourth installment. Good job, love!

the visual and audio is very interesting and keeps you in the mood I would dough have love to have a little bit more character feel as it's questionable how the man is as a person and it's a shame that it looks like this is Bill not be completed it could be really interested in seeing what's going on and why it's happening to him
