A great point-and-click puzzle game.
The puzzles were pretty difficult and that's what made it fun for me. The animation was also done very well.

Just wanted to let you know I found a bug, but couldn't PM you 'bout it!!
I had picked up the matches, clock key and crowbar (the rest not found yet or used), when I somehow managed to put the clock key in the matches place in the top bar. Then, trying to sort things out, I removed the layer that comes out when you select something, and later I wasn't able to USE the clock key.
Now I have to start all over, but the game was great, so it'll be allright :)
Intriguing...
Intriguing is the word I would use, the feeling and sound are well done. One thing I have to admit though, is that I had to use the walkthrough at a moment.
Why?
Well, there are quite a few combinations you can make on a clock. I do not know where I should have, in game found out what the combination was... perhaps it is wise to be able to find a snipe of paper with a hint... or in the passage of the dinner for one. Also, even if you don't use it, you might want to pick up that gun found in the bedroom. After all, what may come in version 2 is unknown...
I could here the accent in your german, or whomever, said the line for the lady, but it was no problem.
Now I don't mind you want to use an alternate history (I have absolutely no clue if france had a prime minister than), but it might have been better to use a fictional war all together, as this care of problems other people might have with the slightly twisting of facts.
If that is put aside and the earlier two comments taking in I find it very well done game. I will certainly recommend it and follow it with version 2.

A great game! Loved it all the way through.
And I've just got to mention to people THIS IS AN ALTERNATE VERSION OF THE WAR. If it's alternate it doesn't mean the sodding war is going to start on the date it actually did.
