Reviews for "Biff and Baff - Rolling"

Good game, but with fundamental flaws

I thought the game design was very interesting, with the split functions and need for cooperation. However, it gets a little frustrating after a while, and pretty slow after the first few levels.

There are also major game design problems. The first, and mentioned in other posts, is the tendency for some of the doors to eat up more than one key at a time, meaning that it's impossible to complete a lot of the levels unless you painstakingly only pick up one key, use it, then pick up another key of the same color later on.

Second, the physics are a bit sensitive, and when trying to carefully maneuver around a pole or a wall, I often find myself ricocheting back and forth with nearly no end in sight or, worse yet, dropping off a ledge. The physics have to be improved to take into account the actual speed of the player-controlled ball.

Worth playing for about 10 minutes, but I'd stop after that.

Greg76 responds:

Hi,
first of all, thank you and all the other reviewers for the constructive reviews.
I have reprogrammed the way doors/locks respond. Never had the key problem, but now it should be completly fixed. The second thing i changed, is the wall bounce, its not that bouncy anymore. I've uploaded the new file, but it will take some time, because the newgrounds staff will review it first.
If you like to play/test it earlier, please visit my site.

Thank you all, Greg

not too bad

this game was not 2 bad but it was still preety cool

Good idea, but poor execution

I like the cute characters and team-based gameplay. What I don't like, though, are that the levels are designed to be navigated painstakingly slowly. Your characters accelerate quickly, and it's very easy to accidentally fall. And yet, you only get a time bonus for completing levels at seemingly superhuman speeds. In my view, the gameplay would benefit a great deal from greater focus on puzzle-solving and less focus on not accidentally rolling off the edge of a platform (which is what occupied about 99% of my time while playing).

Interesting concept but not for me.

Ok so I can't comlpain about the graphics, sound is reasonable but I got really frusrated only on the first level, I dread to think what the later levels are like, and to be honest I don't fancy spending my time trying to find out.

Kudo's for originality, but I think it's best suited for people with lots and lots of patience.

ok not bad

its just a little to chalenging.... make it a little less chalenging and I'd play it non stop
