Reviews for "Agent Scarecrow #1"

Average Game

It was alright, but you couldnt even hear what they are saying because the music is so loud.

Sweet

Definitely a step down from your Jack French flashes. But still pretty good either way.

Grafix:
Unique grafix, the plain black/white/green thing really got annoying at parts.

Style:
I haven't seen a good "Choose your fate" game on newgrounds that beats yours so far. ^_^
Sound: You're probably sick of hearing this, but the voice acting = fail.

Violence:
It was a kinda...really bad gun fight. But i think this was your first so.. good job ^_^

Interactivity:
Lotsa places to click! the only reason you didn't get a 9 or 10 on this is cause of the code at the end. Wasn't exactly clear on the dimension of the TRIANGULAR Pyramid (6 Sides). By the way you drew it, it could have been a RECTANGULAR Pyramid (7 Sides).

Overall:
Pretty sweet, i didn't think the story was too great or anything. but it was fine. I don't see why you would only submit half a game. Especially a game this short. But not bad, none the less. I'm still a big fan of your work. Make more!

FOR THOSE OF YOU STUCK:
Here's a guide... not that you really need one.

In the beginning you're introduced to Mike and the story. Just be patient, and it'll be done in a few minutes.

When you gain control. You can click on a few things to hear Mike talk. Here they are:
-Keys on the table
-Peg of couch next to the bottom right arrow.
--Phone underneath couch

If you click on the bottom right arrow, you go to the bathroom, where nothing important is.
-Mirror
-Sink/Rug
-Bathtub

If you click on the left arrow, you go to the bedroom.
-Fishtank
--Chest in fishtank
-Telescope
-Night table
--Bottom drawer (you need the silver key from the chest in the fish tank to get to this)
--Top Drawer
-Shirt on bed

When you check out a couple things in the apartment. You'll hear a phonecall from your friend. He tells you to get out, and then there's a knock on the door. Then you have a choice.
-Open the door
-Hide

Opening the door sends you to an easy minigame where you move around and beat the crap outta the two people at the door.

Hiding, you find a gun in the closet (the shining thing in the dark) And Listening/looking doesn't do much. Running will send you into a new minigame. Where you shoot enemies. It's easy.

Which ever you choose, your going to run away in your car and go to your friend's work.

They'll be a guard. Talking really doesn't working. So just turn around and find the janitor. Click on him a few times and take his uniform. You'll be let into the workplace this time. Find your friend's cubicle. Head right, then it's your first arrow on the left. Log into the computer using the passcode 136. Once you do, click on the Address book and leave.

Congrats! You finished the (incredibly short) game!

meh

1.) The dialogue/voice acting was kind of cheesy.
2.) In the first gun part, where did I get the gun? Was it in the elevator or did I stumble upon it on the ground? I also thought it was interesting how when I shot a guy he fell down like a cardboard cutout.
Overall, It was kinda cool, but to me it felt more lame than cool.

not bad, in fact, I like it!

it was fun and definatly a good start to longer game. I love games that are in that kind of mystery/scary/adventer style. the problems I saw were the fighting and shooting scene. the fighting scene was a little cheezy in the movements and the shooting scene needed to have more freedom of movement. other than that i think it should have been a little longer, even though it was just an intro. It was a pretty good game though and I cant wait to play the sequal and see how it unfolds!

pretty good story...

... i really dig the use of film noir elements and the artistic style. i can't help but laugh at some of the unintentional humor that results from a non-english speaker scrambling phrases a little bit, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. i won 't lie... i got murked out quick. them two dudes shot me in the parking garage. i had to stop playing to run errands, but i'll be back to try again.

HUH??? You got it wrong buddy. Everything written up by pure American English speakers.
