Reviews for "Amorphous"

a great game but (to me) get a lil boring

overall this is a great game but not so interesting after a while on this game. great game but next time try 2 make it a lil more interesting

It's okay, I suppose

The gameplay is just too repetitive. Destroy over 300 of those things? I don't have time for that. Maybe if you could upgrade your sword or something... It just repeats too much. I did like the other blobs or whatever you call them. The idea of the purple one that can multiply was fairly cool. And I liked how if you killed the orange one, it could potentially wipe out other blobs.

The music was great. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that you put in more than one song. Too many games have just one song that loops over and over; that makes me wanna mute it and break out my iPod. I didn't need to do that with this game, though. Great tunes.

Graphics? Well... The color scheme was nice. I would have liked to have seen more detail in the character, though. He's just a circle holding a big blade, pretty much. Some shading on the blade would have been nice.

All-in-all, it was an okay game. I'm not gonna favorite it, but if I had a little time to kill, I'd probably play it for a few minutes.

7/10

Playing this after Amorphous+ is like having a nice steak for one meal, then a big mac the next meal. not necessarily bad... but Amorphous+ is better in most areas than this one. Not surprising, since that's a remake of this one.

Very good for hack n' slash

Very nice, it felt good to swing around a Cloud-esque sword and kill some (mostly) helpless little blobs.

needs a pause

really needs a pause...and a way to shut off the music

innocuousGames responds:

I did consider implementing a pause, but I didn't find a way to do it reliably without a ton of work (although I may have missed something). I agree it would have been nice to have.

There is an option (the bottom one I think) in the Options Menu to turn off the music. Sorry I didn't make that more obvious, I probably should have included it in the Instructions page.
