melancholia ?
Do depressed people really listen to this..sounds a bit too not sad for them
Listening to this in retrospect, I can see why one would ask this question. The answer is not a one liner. I made this when I was feeling depressed. Through that filter, the mood of the song was completely different. It was more along of the lines of depressed, but hopeful. The mood it conveys, however, depends on the notes that the listener is processing. There's actually a hodge podge of different intervals thrown in each chord, each at different volumes. So perhaps one hears the 5th on the first chord, but not on the next one. That is the unintentional decision that the listener makes. I tried to do this because I wanted a song that could adapt to the listener's needs. I wanted a song that I could listen to that would make me feel better just because I wanted to feel better. I wanted music that played with perceptions. While this may work for me, it may not work for everyone.
This is awesome!!
But its really more trance than house.
this has got to be my favorite style of music by far though.
Deadmau5, Kaskade, Shingo Nakamura, Dinka, etc...
truly deep, amazing music that moves the soul.
I love what you have created here, and I would love to collab with you sometime if you're down. ^^;
great stuff!

The "trance" elements come from the chord progressions, bpm, and lack of complex percussion structure (when compared to Dinka) right? But I'm still a bit confused as to how this fits more in the trance genre.
