Loved it!!
Brilliant revamp of the classic Arkanoid. If I ever get a Wii, that's gonna be the first game I play!
But it's not without it's problems. Maybe I'm being unfair to a great game, and I'm sorry for that, truly I am, or maybe I'm just colorblind, but I had a hell of a time keeping track of the white ball on the nearly-white background amist the falling powerups and debris. Color options would be my only, emphasis on ONLY, request.
Definitely not unfair. In fact, that's been the only really consistent complaint in the reviews. All I can suggest is turning on the ball trail or turning off the debris in the options. Both help you keep track of the ball. If I make a sequel, there'll be more contrast. Thanks for your review.
Nice but ball control was hard
The idea of this type of pong game itself was very unique, inlcuding when you can move your paddle in more than one direction. The intros to levels were a bit funny as what the blocks said corresponded with the level idea. But even though you can move your paddle in an unlimited number of directions, controlling the ball was hard. If the paddle actually moved in angle, it would make more sense and players can actually see where they're about to send the ball hurtling away. Fixing the ball control should guarantee an instant 5 from me but since it's hard, I gave it a 4.
Not good
Many things were bad with it, but the main thing was the music, I wanted the sound with the ball but the music was terrible.
If the worst thing about a game is the music (which can be turned off in two different ways), an overall 1 seems a little harsh. But I guess *everyone* gets their say.
Pretty good
I agree with the last review. The paddle should be a different color than the background. It was hard to see it sometimes.
Otherwise it was a pretty good game. I can see how it would work on the Wii.
