Cool, but not as good as DF2 and kinda glitchy
I like how flashy the graphics are in comparison to the last game, and the option to customize your own warrior is pretty awesome--the two features that make this game playable. There are some major problems, though; let's start with the combat:
In Dragon Fist 2 it made a lot more sense to use weapons because they were more powerful than just your hands, but it was still a good idea to use your hands because you were faster that way. In this game, your weapons are remarkably slow and not all that strong. In fact, a spear might as well be a toothpick, because it does almost no damage, the range is physically shorter than the spear is graphically, and your enemy can keep advancing as you're stabbing him. That leads us to the second problem with combat: The NPC's are TOO DAMN AGGRESSIVE. Chinese Kung-Fu masters--in real life--are the most passive warriors in history (unless Merlin actually existed); they wait for YOU to attack. In here they come at you like a Berserker and attack like Bruce Lee (RIP, man). It's like "Crouching Tiger: Hidden Government"; you can't do shit because the game won't let you.
So the combat is really tedious, but, why stop there? Let's notice the glitches in the Character Customization. I don't much feel I can really review these glitches, so I'll just list them:
--Sometimes when you make their name too long, The game will automatically exist to the main menu and delete the character you were trying to make.
--If you can successfully make a character, the game will sometimes replace him with some other person who was quite obviously made on purpose by the author (what the hell, dude?).
--When a created character is altered, there are features that you can't change back.
Overall, I still do like some of it, like the flashy graphics, the cool design, and the option to make your own character, if that ever works the way it should; but overall it's not quite as enjoyable as the last one, even if this does have better graphics. I hope this helps and maybe you could fix those tiny problems it has.
P.S. Seriously, why do the A.I. characters seem so pissed off?
