Reviews for "The Rush Dance"

Eh... I like it.

This Flash had a bit of a 'creepy' appeal to it, an odd way of putting it but I like the style. The movie itself... I dunno. It's a combination of Rush footage and that's about it. I definitely get the message you're putting across here (Rush is a waste of life and he his politics are a complete joke) but the movie could've been a lot better. Good job, though!

The dance was pretty funny...

...but come on. You can't appear on a paid political campaign advert and be completely immune to criticism at the same time. It's just not fair.

See, I'm one of those insane people that believed Limbaugh actually had a valid stance in asking wether or not Fox exaggerated to play on people's sympathies. While i sincerely believe Fox wasn't faking and that the dance was uncalled for, skepticism is important, people.

Kalapusa responds:

Satosuke, I agree with you in that when you enter the political arena, by its very nature you are bound to be received with political criticism. There is nothing wrong with that. But right-wing Squeelers such as Limbaugh use the "why can't I criticize them" line to excuse their awful attacks on the person's character rather than the points being made.

Once again, Limbaugh could've criticized Fox without being a total asshole. Coulter could've criticized Breitweiser without being a total asshole. But these people always attack the messenger rather than the message because they have nothing valuable to add. They are sideshow freaks in the circus of politics whose job is to entertain people who cannot have a civilized political debate. When they stop acting like asses, I'll stop calling them out on it.

boring

and the point is??

Kalapusa responds:

Most people found it funny when the same idea made it into The Colbert Report.

And if you cannot see the "point" I cannot help you. But here's a tip: Rush Limbaugh is a douche bag. :P

Funny, except that...

Rush was basically right. Michael Fox admitted that he purposely OVERmedicated before testifying to exaggerate the effects of the disease. He was being purposely deceptive to try to get his agenda made into law. So where's Fox's award for acting?

Kalapusa responds:

I'll just repeat what I said earlier and I'll post it in my authors comments as well. Anyways, here it goes:

1. Rush accused Fox of not taking his meds to "exaggerate" the effects of the disease. The symptoms shown in the ad were the symptoms of the medication. If he didn't take his meds, he probably wouldn't be able to talk. So Rush was not just an ass, but he apparently didn't do his homework.

2. "This in turn would let people see the ill effects of the disease" I guess that wouldn't be "exaggerating", huh? Why should he try to hide the effects when talking about what he is going through? Why does the public have to get a watered-down description of everything affected by our policy makers?

3. Right-wing talking heads are so used to attacking the messenger that they hate it when someone like Fox comes out and says something. There would have been no controversy if Rush simply said something along the likes of: "I have sympathy for Fox, but he's wrong because blah blah blah". Then again, that wouldn't be Rush and then his army of idiots wouldn't listen to him.

Nicely done, but do more research

He also said that the California Condor wasn't on the verge of extinction. You probably could've added a long list of other crap he has said. BUt you make a good point
