Why did the death via good guy in this series have to come from my fav. character, why? Good episode BTW

I think that the reason it hurt him was because he, as a copy of link, put the item in his inventory, which is in hammerspace and inside him. I can't really explain it any better, but hopefully that should clear things up.
Ericho didnt die but went in to a coma
