I had fun with runescape.

Runescape added some value to my life. Probably because I played for about 2 years with almost half a school. So Runescape was pretty much a daily topic.
Now to me runescape is a cherished memory of having fun with friends online, and even off-line.

But the flash itself. Well:
You got some points. Runescape is highly addictive, The stat training is extremely repetitive. And well. It doesn't have that much to boast off graphically.
But aren't all MMORPG's addictive, Isn't everything repetitive, like everything. And Lower quality graphics are the toll to pay for being a browser game.

But you included some rubbish like:
If you where to post on the NG BBS that you hate NG. you would with no doubt receive some comments like "So why would you bother in making an account on the site you hate, just to post on that specific sites BBS, that you hate it."
Why would you go yelling at noobs. If you have fun by annoying the hell out of other people... Then you're not much of an asset to society.
Then I read the disclaimer, rendering my previous comments pretty useless.

Nonetheless the pk-ing scene and the "runescape is not gay, it is bi" made me chuckle.

And finally.
-I was secretly hoping on an actual cooked down version of runescape, not a spoof-
-Your flash's art was pretty bad.
-The music was a pretty lame loop.
-And well you shoud have worked on impoving this flash, instead of playing RS. (That was a joke, incase you missed it.)
-Isn't it macro, instead of marco?

Well, I made this a little over two years ago, and I thank you for your detailed review.

1: In the end, this is a cooked-down version of runescape, because the ending remains the same- the quitting in a multitude of ways. (I should have included boredom, but I made this rather quickly and didn't think of it) Basically, by spending 5 minutes watching/playing this, you see everything runescape has to offer, summed up to save you days, weeks, months, and most likely, years of your time.

2: The art was a pun on the actual graphics of Runescape at the time, which is why its poor. I could have done better, but I didn't want to spend over a day working on something like this :p

3: This was actually an unintentional pun. At the time, the sounds and music of runescape were rather repetitive as well if you were to remain in a specific area for any given amount of time (which is why most people just turn the RS music off and listen to their own stuff)

4: Hehehe. Actually, by the time I made this, I had already quit for about 9 months and I was getting quite into Flash.

5: I always seem to spell words like that incorrectly... You're the first person to point it out :p

Basically, this can be used as a reflection toward all MMORPGs. So far, I've played many games, in that category like Conquer Online, DoMo, Sherwood(lol), and Guild Wars to name a few, and many points in this Flash apply to those as well. The reason I chose Runescape is its significance. Runescape has, by far, had the worst community out of all the games I have ever played. The majority of the players are very arrogant and rude, and a large majority is made up of little children who can somehow use their computers.

Then again, you can't really blame these people. Their annoyance comes with some good as well, as it causes people to regain their lives more quickly. It is also pretty fun heckling people on RS. They get worked up much more easily than people on other games.

The added BBS bit was in regards to my experiences on the RS BBS. At the time, I had actually spent a lot of time on the NG BBS, (which is actually in many aspects, worse, but thats a completely different concept) which reminded me of the RS equivalent, which I remembered being quite stupid. Spend about 5 minutes in the off-topic section in the RS BBS and you will understand what I mean.

In the end, I don't play MMORPGs anymore. In fact, I find it hard to find the time to play any games. I'm a Junior in high school and I get a lot of homework :p. I usually stick to single player RPGs or simple MMOs like the occasional CS:S game or some gmod.

Nice

Prett cool rs flash. Most of the things were accurate, but i dont get how u could get banned for teasing a noob, even if he is 9 years old. Drawing was kinda ( and by kinda i mean a LOT) crappy, u could've probably done better if u tried. But u had some very good ideas and stuff. LOL --- u got pwned by ZEZIMA---

Nice concept.

It's pretty funny, but the art was poor to the point that it was unbearable. Also, it got really boring and slow sometimes. If you made it faster and less boring this would be much funnier.

Well, I'm going to give it 9/10 only because this is more a movie, When it say's play this game its more of a movie..

I do like this game and It is very true :)

I know alot of people that played runescape and they arent nerds, that is just steriotyping. Though the nerd look so funny! Good work. I liked the mining part. I mean it takes hours to mine to right amount of ore. LOL, Two hours later. Nerd with his mouth open.

well, in this Flash, he began using an autominer, which is why his mouth was all drooped open, as he was banned for using it.

I know not all RS players look like that, but they might as well. A lot of them don't spend their time doing anything else. I guess its just a phase that everyone seems to go through... When I played RS, i noticed my grades in school dropped, since I always rushed through my homework and spent all my spare time playing RS.

I'm glad that was in middle school. It woulda killed me now in high school :p
