The beat is good, it doesn't interfere with the lyrics any... the synth has a nice tone to it, kinda a panning synth. Keep up the sweet music there Merlin!

Jeez this song is pretty good it wants me to dance but yet, I feel the sadness of this piece the part that gets me is the part when you say, "At least we know we tried" Its a really really great piece of art keep making these your go somewhere.

Though, the lyrics were overshadowed by the rhythm. Overall, nice song, I would like to hear it as an instrumental as well. I like it, but not enough to download it, sorry. :P
But in all seriousness, this is an excellent piece of work. The way the lyrics sync with the rhythm is familiar but I can't quite place it. Once again, nicely done.
