i like it and nice use of mode 7(with the turning sprites) which ironicaly was first used in the original version of this :p only letdowns is no other:maps, charecters. its a littple pixelated(the ground) and there seems to be no max speed for the road other than when you cant stay on it anymore oh and the map is a little small. but the engine shows potential for almost anything. its basicaly the graphics engine behind you now being able to make things from mariokart type games or maybe even a mini zelda style dungeon(i mean the 3d ones not the top down ones of course)
i voted high as it would be good to see where it came from if you take off with this

Pretty darn awesome.
This is really cool! It'd be neat if you made this into a full blown game, with the special items and such. My only suggestion is to maybe change the gas key to something like spacebar, it would be easier to hold it down with one hand while steering with the left and right arrow keys with the other, holding down the up key and steering is kinda awkward. Other than that, good job!
