i like it..
but the roomwith the larva jumping in the air, u die if it hits your hammer or sheild. impossible to make it across :(

Looks good..
If this wouldn't have the great graphics, I would've hated it. I'm not saying that I liked it but...
First thing I didn't like was the pillars. Why do you have to shoot them a hundred times? What's the point? To make it longer? 'Cause it was really annoying.
Second was the enemies.. They were pretty easy to kill.. UNTIL they hit you. If that happened even once, you were almost certain dead.
Then the jumping.. Why, why, why did you make it so hard? Why you have to make it so there's always a roof over you, and you bounce of it and straight to the lava. I missed 2 out of 3 of the jumps. I got to the part where there was fire balls bouncing up from the lava. And just couldn't get through cause even if I got to the second platform, the lava balls were so close they always hit me..
When I saw the Game Over text in front of me, I really didn't want to try again..
I'd say this has a potential, but you should fix those.. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks like I do.
Because of this potential, and the great graphics I gave you 3 / 5.

Why a 7? First of all the jump is bad made... When I wanne jump to the right i always do this: -> and ^ together with arrows. But then he only jump forward... Also when he does jump good with the -> ^ then he jumps not far... Making it almost impossible to jump over lava... And destroying the pillars took to long... And the shield control wasn't nessacery... I didn't used it... Try solve all of this and re-make a game wth these bugs fixed. Then it will be better like a 9...

Well, let's talk about the negative first. It took ages to destroy those pillars. Jumping wasn't really good, once you hit something you were always pushed away or stopped weird which at the end made me fail the jump away from lava especially because when you jumped up you couldn't see there was one directly next to it just a bit higher, so you would need a higher view for that. I didn't once use shield, maybe you need it later in the game?
Graphics were nice, though I felt the character was always backwards when he was forwards, looked like that. The backgrounds were simple but good enough for something like this and the music didn't get on my nerves.
