Reviews for "Bubbles (KB Game)"

Wow.

A game where i actually made 12th place on the scoreboard. Nice.

Denvish responds:

Good job =D

Innovative!

Very cool game, by Denvish of course! This game is actually a combination of more type of games, which is really cool! And I can't think of anything to improve it. Very well done!
I suppose it wasn't too hard to make, once you had the movieclips. But you really are the king of KB/API games on Newgrounds!

Graphics - 10 - API graphics, and excellent ones too! Nice background and the cart is cool too. And the little symbols on the right, I almost can't believe they're made in API.
Style - 9 - Innovative style of game.
Sound - 8 - Funny little music.
Violence - 2 - No violence... Well you don't need violence in every game, do you?
Interactivity - 10 - Of course, the interactivity gets top marks.
Humor - 4 - Actually the music and the little bubbles were kind of cute, which I count as humor. But who cares.

Extremely well done, Denvish!

5/5

Denvish responds:

People tend to underestimate how long it takes to make API games, it actually takes longer than the same game would if I used MCs from the library - since not only does the code to create the graphics have to be generated, but also the code has to all be run from the main timeline, because there are no MCs on stage on which to place the code.

With a game a complex as this, the timeline code ends up being a rather large maze (of 2000+ lines), which can make it tricky to pinpoint bugs too

Origonal and Addicting

Time for yet another review. Like most all of your games, this one was origonal and looked great for being done API. I really really did not like the pruple and pink ones. For some reason i could not tell the difference. You should have chosen more varied colours. I love the gameplay. Its simple and easy to catch on to, but diverse at the same time, taking on more then just one element. I loves it. I finnaly got the hang of API, but as far as making full games with it, i just cant find the inspiration. Good lcuk with your next projects, cant wai tot see what you floating around in your head for next time.

PS: Im releasing my first deacent game to NG in the next month or so, so watch outs for it.

Denvish responds:

I will watch outs for it ;)
Thanks for the review

Nice

It was pretty entertaining, thou you do need to read the instructions to know how the hell to play this couse at first i had no clue but after i read it i got hooked on it.

Sometimes it gets frustrating how you dont get the color you want to lower the bubble but well thats how it is, i blame that on me for not being fast enough, i think you could have added some different modes and difficulties, this had a pretty food engine but i feel you could have given more for it.

Always looking for more of your stuff ;)

Denvish responds:

Yeah, that's why it says INSTRUCTIONS (READ!), lol. You can dump the icons, best to just click them away from the bottom so you don't hit the cart. It's a lot to concentrate on, though, doing that, moving the cart, dragging, and popping the bubbles trying to escape. That'll teach people to call my games boring =)))

btw, what's a food engine?

Oh yeah, I did consider adding difficulty levels, but this had to be done by end of Jan, and I simply ran out of time.

Very interesting.

That was a real cool unique game like most you create Denvish but i really loved this one,it made you think with a quickness and it was really fun, great job on the game.

Denvish responds:
