Reviews for "Batman : The Red Hood"

not bad

i've read a simplified version of that story in a batman comic book, the legend of batman
good represention
but i do think the sound was a weak factor, I acually laughed when he said "ahhh it burns" because it sounded kinda lame
but other then that i liked it
especially the opening scene and music
keep it up man

Decent

I've read 'the Killing Joke', I don't think this was a very good representation of the story, because it leaves the main points out, like why he'd be wearing the red mask, and that there was waste in the water. I did like how you didn't just replicate the comic, even the director of 'Sin City' could get a few pointers from you in that respect.

The graphics were very ordinary and somewhat bland, and your own style wasn't shown, because the Joker was replicated from 'Batman: the Animated Series' and Batman looked pretty generic aswell. Gotham also looked very bland, but that first shot was okay.

The voice actors were awful, and I don't think 'the Mask of Phantasm' intro music is good for action.

I have a fairly strong bias when it comes to Batman, but I could still tell this was nothing special.

Oh, that run-cycle at the start was awesome.

Gus-Saldanha responds:

Geez thank God not all Batman fans who have posted reviews think like u. Thanx anyway.

The audio is actually one of the better qualities

I don't know about the others, but I personally liked the voices. Well, ok, most of the voices were just satisfactory, but I did like the laugh at the end. The animation was kinda jerky, but it wasn't bad. In any case, good flash.

good animation

Like most of the reviews its obvious that the biggest problem is the voices. still entertaining though. good job

Gus-Saldanha responds:

Im really surprised, like you, people say the same thing, and also some other talk good things about the voices. Thanx for all your comments.

Your Joker is no Mark Hamill

As a whole this is an excellent animation of an excellent story. Your voice over needs a little work, but the visuals make up for it. I hope you keep making comic animations.
I'd suggest Neil Gaiman's Sandman, orif you want to stick with Batman, maybe the death of Jason Todd.
I think you could do real justice to them in animation.
