Reviews for "Space Fighters Revolution"

GREAT

BTW, I found 2 cheat codes.
Fully loaded: unlimited missiles/torpedoes
Power to the masses: unlimited energy

Nemo responds:

Nice work! I think the other cheats were:

Achilles bit the dust: (One hit kills)
Turbo charged: (Faster ship)
and the other (Invincibility) I forgot...

I think that's what they all were... this was quite a while ago. I guess it's about time I got them all out for everyone to use! Thanks for playing!

Became hopelessly addicted

I said it all above, the sounds never got annoying for the about 45 minutes I played (I know 45 minutes, I have no life). The graphics were good, very good. THe backround music was pleasent. I found it better than all other asteroid games, this one was way improved.

Things that need improvement:
I like being able to go out one side of the screen, appear on the other, if you know what I am trying to say...

It seemed very easy at start, got harder, than way easy again. It should never reach a climax before you die, just saying.

And well I would like a few more weapons, but thats probably just because I like to shoot things, with different things ;-).

Great job sponge, hope to see another of your marvolous game, kingdom fire two, is that a possiblility?

Nemo responds:

I'm really glad you liked it! I don't think I am going to do any other sequel to this style of gameplay, though I was thinking about making a real-time strategy that takes place in space. Thanks for the review!

I'm pretty impressed.

Any thing i say will probably just be repeating someone else but oh well. My biggest complaint was lack of a pause/menu button. I nearly wet myself because i was to heasitant to leave my self to the mercy of the enemy fighters. Also I like the whole dogfighting aspect of it. Instead of just moving left and right ( or even not at all) you can zip around and shoot it out with em! I like that! Also after reading a few pages of reviews i would suggest in a future game to have a really easy mode and a really hard mode besides the others. This is due to complaints of it's difficulty or lack there of. I also like the little booster effects on the side of the ship when you move, thats neat too. I respect you Atomic Sponge, you take time to answer all reviews, you respectfully shut down those who critisize you unfairly and listen respectfully and take into condideration compliments and constructive criticism. I like you and your work, your going on my favorite authors list!

Nemo responds:

Thanks a lot! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I wanted to put a pause menu in the game, but it was not until really the end of the programming phase. Unfortunately, because my programming at this point was not very well developed, trying to put a pause feature in would have been hell. The same thing occured with difficulty; I have a difficulty setting in the Options menu, but it does not do anything.

A lot of the lack of features was because of how long it was taking to get done. This sat on my computer for nearly an entire year with minimal progress, so I just wanted to get it finished. I took out a lot of stuff and turned it into an arcade game, which in the end was probably for the better. This was definitely a great experience for me in that it enhanced my Flash skills ten fold.

I'm quite glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the great review!

sweet

great to bad my computer SUCKS :,(

Nemo responds:

A lot of the reason it might run bad is because my programming of this game was terrible. I learned a lot of things NOT to do while making this, so it still was a valuable learning experience. Thanks for the review.

very nice

awsome game a little take off from asteroids bt its a real fun for the next try new ships and upgrades.

a little reputious though keep at it

Nemo responds:

It is repetative, only because I changed it from objective-oriented gameplay to just an arcade style... mainly due to the fact that I wasn't really working on it anymore and wanted to get it off my computer. Thanks for the review!
