Reviews for "Summer Solace {durn}"

Chill, relaxed, hi-dolla (:

It's definitely got the summer feeling going, dude. I like how it's relatively simple, but it's also got a nice layer of complexity to it, it gives the whole thing a really professional feel. 'Atta boy. ;D

Tone-wise, some of the synths I didn't like (the one that comes in at :50 being the only one that comes to mind ;P ), but that's just personal preference, I think, it took away a little bit of the smoothness for me.

Overall, excellent song, this is the kind of stuff that motivates me to get better at writing electronic stuff. (:

durn responds:

lol, thanks man. :D

aye, that's actually the same guitar synth a few octaves up. I dampened the highs quite a bit but you're right, the sound's still a bit off.

thanks a lot for listening :)

Kewl

It would sound awsm if it had lyrics too.
Congrats anyway ^_^

durn responds:

:D thanks. I'm not much of a songwriter when it comes to lyrics though. I have a feeling I'd go all cheesy and sing about love and shit. lol. :D

very nicely put together.

This is one of those songs that you can sit and listen to and day dream. Lovely use of instruments. lovely use of well, EVERYTHING. I'm going to add this to my favorites. This is a song my imagination can take off on. Wonderful work buddy!

durn responds:

thanks a lot, wyldfyre. :) I was hoping you'd drop some comments. you generally give very rational reviews and this time is no different. :) thanks man.

Very calming.

This song has no real heavy beats or tunes, and is relaxing on the senses.
But other than that, smooth and Nice.

durn responds:

thanks. :)

Nice

Very nice, relaxing, chill tune. Reminds me of old Jazz Jackrabbit games; it's fast, but not chaotic and again, very relaxing ^^

Great job! :)

durn responds:

dude, I -loved- Jazz the Jackrabbit. captain comic, commander keen and jazz jackrabbit were the first games I played on computer as a kid.

captain comic is way oldskool though. that and galactic goose!!! ohhhh man, bringin' back memories now. :P
