Best tutorial I have ever seen
The sound effects are a very nice touch!
This is also the first tutorial I have ever learned anything from.
For quality settings, the property (not a function!) is _quality,
and can be set to "LOW", "MEDIUM", "HIGH", and "BEST".
For example: _root._quality = "LOW";
and just put that in a on(release) or whatever for a button and tadaa!!

I spent like 2 hours before submitting this just trying to find a tutorial on making quality buttons. I finally decided I could add them later, and I've already gotten 2 responses pertaining to that particular question. I'll do a new version sometime soon... I need to get away from flash for a while...

Deffinatly the best tutorial I've seen. I learned so much! ......now I just need to got get Macromedia. Lol. Anyway, this is good. Nothing to complain about. See now that's something I hadn't expected. i've gotten reviews and e-mails from people who said this pushed them over the edge and made them go out and buy flash. That particular aspect is one I don't understand...
As for the comparison to SFB and LF etc., don't bother - I'm in a class all my own. =)

If I hadnt have looked at this tut, I wouldnt been lost with flash. And it also disusses the wonders of the vcam. Im a flash newb. This taught a lot of basic things to know, among other things. Nice job!
